ACCP French III is an Advanced College Credit Program (ACCP) course offered through Rockhurst University and St. Pius X High School, equivalent to the first two semesters of university French (total eight credit hours). There will be a registration and tuition for this course. Student must have a minimum non-weighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 to enroll for ACCP credit. Students may take the course without enrolling for ACCP credit.
In French III ACCP, the student will become a more proficient communicator in French in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture. The course focuses upon French history, from prehistory through the Revolution of 1789, including a considerable treatment of the history of the Catholic Church in France. Through web-based sources, the student will engage authentic texts to comprehend native speakers and writers. The class will mostly be conducted in French with an expectation that the student will engage the teacher and classmates in French.
