"Live Like Jesus"
Thank you to Bishop Johnston for taking time out of his very busy schedule to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Pius X with us at Mass on Monday, August 22nd. He gifted us with a day off school
on Friday, September 2nd. Please keep him in your prayers.
Congratulations to the SPX Lady Warrior Freshman Volleyball Team, Coach Daniels, and
Coach Calcara! They took 1st place in the Cameron Tournament
and were undefeated for the entire tournament!
Congratulations to the SPX Lady Warriors Softball Team, Coach Ludwig, and Assistant Coach Bock for their act of kindness and appreciation by recognizing the Parkville Police Department!
The team made the "816 North" section of The Kansas City Star!
Partial Road Closing
42nd Terrace will be closed to the west of the St. Patrick's entrance for ten days
beginning Monday, August 22nd - Thursday, September 1st. It will be closed to get the new water service to the former convent.
Pay Online - It is fast and easy!
For the convenience of our families and to streamline our processes, the following payments can now be completed online.
Please make every effort to pay for these items online rather than by cash or check. These online payment links will be available all year on the St. Pius X website. (See Online Payment Links on SPX Home Page Quick Links)
1. Cafeteria Deposit - If your student plans on eating school lunch, they will need money deposited into their lunch account. Their deposit is loaded onto their student id and a simple swipe pays for lunch. A good starting point is $30 - $50.
Deposits can be made online - Online Cafeteria Deposit
2. Pius Armoury - For new uniforms and spirit wear - amount varies. Students use their Armoury account to purchase dance tickets, event t-shirts and out of uniform wristbands.
Deposits can be made online - Online Armoury Deposit
3. Family Sports Passes - $110 – This is a pass for your immediate family that entitles you to free admission into any regular season home sporting event excluding tournaments and district competition for the entire 2016/2017 school year. The last day to purchase Family Sports Passes online is Wednesday, August 31. After that date, Family Sports Passes must be purchased in the school office with cash or check. Go Warriors!

Annual Assembly of the Missouri Catholic Conference
Click here to see the Flier!
Celebrate the Year of Mercy! Plan on attending the Missouri Catholic Conference’s 2016 Annual Assembly on Saturday, October 8, at the Missouri State Capitol building in Jefferson City. This free event is sponsored by the Missouri bishops and everyone is invited. The keynote speaker will be the new bishop of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Bishop Edward Rice. Workshops will be offered on a number of issues, including how virtue meets a culture of violence and how Catholics can approach decisions for the 2016 election. Lunch is provided and the day will end with a Mass concelebrated by the bishops. Please pre-register for the event by going to MOCatholic.org or calling 1-800-456-1679. See you on October 8!
St. Pius X requires each family to work one concession shift per school year. Each family is assigned one shift (either on the Fall or Winter schedule) no matter if your student plays a sport or not. Only one parent is required to attend (or another adult in the family, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc).
Your student is NOT elgible to take your shift.
The Fall schedule is available on the SPX website under the Parent's Association tab.
The Winter Schedule is set in early November.
Please contact Jenny Vutich, Parents Association Concession Scheduler, if you have any questions regarding your concession obligation.
Many times we are in need of photos of students playing sports, participating in extra-curricular activities, service projects or other school activities throughout the school year. Since many parents take photos of their kids at these activities, we often come to you to seek extra photos when we need them for publications. To make this process easier, we have created a photo sharing site: spxkc.smugmug.com
We encourage parents who take photos at games to upload them onto this site for sharing. Please email Melanie at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an upload link if you are willing to share your photos.
In addition, smugmug allows photo ordering, so any parent can view the site and order photos they may want that others took. Our hope is that this will make photo sharing easy for our community.
