Our Mission is to provide resources and education to the people of San Andres Itzapa, Chimaltenango and the village school, Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta in Caserio Panimaquin. With the assistance of the Carmelite Sisters of the Sacred Family, we help serve those in need through hands-on projects that improve the community and family homes while providing educational resources to school age children. Helping families by building heating and cooking stoves with chimneys and installing basic water filtration systems, we work to provide healthy living conditions among the poor in Guatemala. Our main goal is to foster relationships with the people of Guatemala and build a bridge between our two cultures.
We are a growing group of youth and adult leaders from the Kansas City area who perform Mission work in the San Andres Itzapa region of Guatemala.
We are presently working towards not-for-profit status. Our group was originally founded through a group from the Kansas City-St Joseph Catholic Diocese and has expanded to include anyone in the Kansas City metropolitan area who are interested in the greater good for the poor of Guatemala.
