Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Picnic and Theatre Coach Ms. Dunning - BRAVO!
"The SPX spring show this year was the play, Picnic. It is an emotional drama filled with difficult decisions, complex characters, and important life lessons. It tells the story of a young man, down on his luck, who stumbles into a small Kansas town. His appearance becomes the talk of the town, working as a catalyst for events that will change the course of each character's life. This show was very different from what most of the theatre students had acted in previously, as shows in recent years have been primarily comedies. This drama allowed the students to really grow as actors and taught them to delve deeper into the true meaning of a play." - Madeleine Quinn

Congratulations to the Junior Class and Ms. Smith!
The Junior Class Spaghetti Dinner was a huge success! A special thanks goes out to faculty members David Lamble, James Thornburg, Kathy Bonadonna, Jamie Gumina, Patti Pearson, Lisa Hipp, Krista Daniels, and John Coakley who worked all day with our students and parents to help things run efficiently. Another HUGE thank you to Lisa Hipp and Michelle Chirpich for co-chairing the event. Michelle was also in charge of the kitchen, without a doubt the most important and stressful job of the day. The junior Student Council parents all chaired their own committee, but each volunteered time and labor to other committees when needed. Our corporate sponsors included A & M Printing, Bears Printing, C&C Produce, Cascone's Italian Restaurant, Roma Bakery, and Scimeca's Sausage Company. All of these companies donated most, if not all, of their products to the Spaghetti Dinner. Due to all of this hard work and these donations, the juniors were able to raise $22,000 for their Prom and After Prom expenses. This has been one of the most successful Dinners in recent history, and we are all so grateful for the help and support of the SPX community.
