We recently began work at the site of our future Athletic Complex at 3700 NE Davidson Rd. We are expanding our athletic facilities on a 45 acre site about ½ mile south of our campus. These improvements are part of the Warrior Pride Capital Campaign, which also includes the renovation of a former convent on school property. The new site will create home facilities for softball, baseball, soccer, tennis and cross country.
Work will continue as the we raise funds for the project. The Campaign has reached nearly $5 million in donations. “This project has the potential to happen very quickly if we can meet our fundraising goal,” commented Principal Joe Monachino, Jr., “We are very grateful to all of the donors who have helped us get this far and are hoping more members of our community will donate as they see this exciting progress.”
For more information on the campaign or to make a donation, please visit:

- Meet My Peer Mentor, My Friend
Join us and hear guest speakers, Steve and Nancy McCoy, Vivian McKenney, Options Program Directors and Archbishop O'Hara Peer Mentors.
The Peer Mentor Program is a gift for students with special needs, their families and the mentors themselves. It is necessary for successful inclusive education in Catholic High Schools. Why does it work? How does it work? Perhaps the most unique aspect of the inclusive education program is the Mentor Program. Junior and Senior level students work hand-in-hand with students with special needs in the classroom. Mentors are chosen by faculty members based on their outstanding leadership qualities and dedication to the program.
All are welcome. This presentation would be especially relevant to middle school and junior high school parents, educators and administrators who would like to learn more about how students are supported for a successful high school experience currently at Archbishop O'Hara HS and will be supported next year at St. Michael the Archangel in Lee's Summit, Mo.
